Used on applicator, storage, and nurse tanks. Valves should be replaced 5 years after date of manufacture.
Vapor Relief Valves are for installation in the vapor area of AnhydrousAmmonia containers. Their function is to open and relieve the pressurewhen it exceeds the designed working pressure of the container. Theypermit a gradual opening to relieve moderately excessive pressure andaccelerate to full discharge capacity when pressure increases beyond the allowable set pressure.
AllVapor Relief Valves are permanently marked with their identifyingcatalog number, date of manufacture, *removal date, set pressure, andflow capacity. All ammonia tanks should have provision for vapor reliefvalves with adequate capacity to meet discharge requirements.
